For PC games, pirates expect free support

“If there’s one thing all commercial game developers can agree on, it’s that piracy hurts their bottom line. Hence it’s no surprise that developers are starting to consider new distribution methods aimed at curbing piracy. Online distribution systems such as Steam and “EA Downloader” tie game code to a user’s credentials, ostensibly stopping piracy.
