Embrace Life – brilliant online video ad

I came across this amazing video while doing research on social network marketing strategy. The video is created by Sussex Safe Roads Partnerships to encourage more people wearing seat belts. I think the message from the ad is very effective and the video itself is wonderful, definitely among the best ads I’ve seen lately.

Hitler responds to the iPad

We’ve all seen it before, still it gets funnier every time a new meme comes out from this “Downfall” video. This time it was Hitler’s reaction to the recent iPad release. I didn’t know he was such a big fan of Apple.

O rly iPad?

After months and even years of speculations and rumours, Apple has finally unveiled its much anticipated product yesterday, the iPad. For a product that is supposed to be the next big thing, to the degree where Steve Jobs even claimed it is the most important product he has ever done, the iPad received mixed feedbacks with the majority of people feel that the product fell short of their expectations.
We have seen iPad stories being covered pretty much everywhere by ...

The Internet 1.0 in Canada

While the rest of the world is moving forward to Web 2.0 and beyond, the internet in Canada is standing still at 1.0. That’s right, today I finally received the official letter from Rogers announcing that they will be increasing the price from $25 to $50 per month for those who exceed monthly bandwidth limit.
We are currently living in 21st century where access to information continues to play a vital role in knowledge and innovation development, such business practice ...

Jeff Skoll on TED.com

One of my most favorite speeches on TED.com. Thanks to Professor Sean Wise who introduced me this video during his Entrepreneur class.
Jeff Skoll made his fortune as the first president of eBay. Now he’s spending it at the movies. His company, Participant Productions, makes entertaining, issues-driven films that inspire real change — Murderball, Syriana, An Inconvenient Truth … Here, he talks about the people who’ve inspired him to do good, and about some upcoming films that will open your eyes.

Hat off to Apple

So while I and other students happened to have a quite interesting discussion in our Marketing class regarding Apple and its products, the company was busy reporting its best earning ever yesterday, an increase of revenue to $15.68 billion from $11.88 billion.
While it is undeniable that Apple has made a strong impact in shaping our consumer behaviour and culture, it would be nonsensical for anyone to consider Apple iMac or Macbook computer a superior product than a PC. I understand ...
